Dr. Orden grew up in Long Island, New York. He attended Clark University, then went to dental school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. After dental school Dr. Orden enrolled in the four-year graduate studies and residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Orden also completed his graduate degree, with studies in degenerative joint diseases (arthritis) of the temporomandibular joint.

During this intensive  four-year program, residents study internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Following his residency, Dr. Orden practiced in Chicago and completed his Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This is an intensive oral and written examination that qualifies surgeons to become a Diplomate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  What is a Board Certified Surgeon?

Dr. Orden publishes regularly in the professional literature and lectures regularly to his colleagues on surgery and computer technology.

Dr.Orden's professional interests include cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, dental implants and correction of facial deformities

Dr. Orden is a member of the surgical staff of Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Hospital

He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and other local and regional professional societies. 

Dr. Orden, his wife and his three children live in a suburb of Boston. In addition to maintaining a busy surgical practice, Dr. Orden is President of DocIT Software, a medical software development and consulting firm.  He is an avid photographer, jazz guitarist, tennis player, and juggler. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, running and training.
